S-CURVE:

Floor seating to help you sit cross-legged comfortably

Materials: High-density foam, Low-density foam, Velvet upholstery | Dimensions: 400 L x 490 B x 345 H mm

This project aimed to design floor seating that enhances comfort for cross-legged sitting by providing lower lumbar and skull support. It delves into the relationship between form and anthropometry, ensuring that the design aligns with the body's natural contours. The result is a seating solution that promotes ergonomic comfort and encourages a relaxed sitting posture.

Takeaways

This project deepened my understanding of human anthropometrics and behaviour while exploring the use of foam and fluid, organic forms. It taught me how to create designs that align with the body's natural shapes, enhancing comfort and functionality.
